The KSE-100 is the benchmark index of the Pakistan Stock Exchange, tracking the 100 largest companies by free-float market capitalisation across all sectors. It is the most widely quoted barometer of the Pakistani equity market.

Methodology & rebalancing
Constituents are selected on free-float market capitalisation with sector representation: the largest company in each PSX sector qualifies first, and the remaining slots go to the biggest companies overall. PSX reviews and recomposes the index semi-annually, and the divisor adjusts for corporate actions so only market moves change the level. The index was set to a base of 1,000 points in November 1991.
The KSE-100’s highest close in our five-year record is 189,166.82, set on 23 Jan 2026 — the index currently trades 5.8% below it.
